Welcome to Day 17 of 31 Awesome Days of Fall Activities With Your Kids. Today we are going to show you How to Make Easy Magnets With Your Laminator With Kids. This is an easy project, plus it is super cute and will add some pretty fall decor to your house for the Fall Season. My daughter loves to color! She also loves to play with the magnets on the fridge, so this activity was an easy favorite of hers.
What your kids will learn
- cutting
- coloring
- fine motor skills
Supplies
- Laminator (this is the one we use and love)
- Coloring pages, like this one
- Scissors
- Markers, colors, etc. for coloring.
- Magnets. We recycled the flimsy magnets you get in the mail or from doctor’s offices.
- Double sided sticky tape
Instructions
- First, let your child color their page or pages. You can guide them with the colors to use, or let them choose their own.
- Next, laminate the colored pages. This will need to be done with adult supervision. My daughter is only 5-years-old, so I use the laminator, but she loves to watch.
- Let your child cut out their creations. If they are younger, they may need some help.
- Cut up the magnets so they will fit your color page cut-outs. My daughter liked using the cut outs to make puzzles.
- Use your double-sided tape to put the magnets on your laminated cut-outs. Then arrange your pretty projects on the fridge.
Conclusion
Do you hang your kids’ artwork on your refrigerator? Do you have children’s magnets, like the alphabet on your fridge? My daughter loves when we display her artwork on the refrigerator, so I do it for her. Personally, I prefer a clutter free fridge, but I’m all about putting smiles on my little one’s face.
